In many places across Latin America, people live without stable housing, clean water, education, or job opportunities. But that’s not the whole story.

At Serve Hope, we believe every person is created by God with a purpose. When people are discipled, equipped, and supported in community, they flourish.

Our Story.

Serve Hope founders Matt and Lindsay McMahan with their family and volunteers standing with local children in front of a newly built home in Honduras.

Matt and Lindsay McMahan spent five years praying for how to invest their lives in something eternal. At the same time, Christian leaders in Honduras were praying for someone to come alongside them in ministry.

In 2018, those prayers met. What started as one house for one family became a mission to serve many — through discipleship, compassion, and long-term partnership.

Today, Serve Hope reaches thousands across Latin America. And we’re still fueled by the same things that started it all: prayer, obedience, and love in action.

It started with a prayer.
