Offering Life-Change through Soccer
The Serve Hope FC is a Christ-centered soccer academy which trains the children and youth of Siguatepeque physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Our main objective is to develop the talent of the kids so that they can have an opportunity in soccer and that they are people who, wherever they go, preach about Christ and be of influence wherever God leads them.
Serve Hope FC harnesses children’s passion for soccer as an evangelism and discipleship tool.
Serve Hope FC was born out of necessity from the lack of youth ministry opportunities in the city. In a community like Siguatepeque, there are very few options for young people. Many young people get caught up in gangs or other kinds of trouble in part because of the lack of opportunities. Serve Hope FC was created as a healthy opportunity for youth to cultivate their passion for soccer and also train them in Christ.
Building the Kingdom through Soccer
For a long time, the Serve Hope team had had the dream of having a soccer academy to guide young athletes to a life dedicated to God. After putting professionals close to Serve Hope's leadership, the academy was a dream come true .
With the leadership of Serve Hope FC coaches, many of our academy students are moving toward career opportunities or earning college scholarships. This is how young people are potentially being empowered through Serve Hope FC and allowing us to expand the kingdom of Christ.
Physical and Spiritual Impact
In less than 2 years, the Serve Hope FC team has already worked with over 200 people, children, and parents. For many of the Serve Hope FC students, their time at Serve Hope FC practices and their relationships with the Serve Hope FC coaches quickly became the best part of their week. The gospel has been presented in a personal way to these families and several have been integrated to the Esperanza Viva church.
